It was a cloudy day in the forest and Cadaver was taking a walk to clear his mind from past events. As he was walking he felt a drop of rain hit his nose, so he started to make his way back home. On his way back he was a little sad because he thought he would see his friend Pins, since he hasn't seen her in a while he was a little worried. After walking for a while he came across a fallen tree which meant he was almost home, as he stepped over the tree he looked up to the broken down structure that was his house and saw Pins walk into it. He started to walk faster, not only because of the impending rain but also he wanted to see how Pins was doing. Climbing up the crumbling stares he started to call out.
"Hey Pins, I haven't seen you around lately where have you be-"he was cut off when he ran into something.
When he opened his eyes, he was looking right into the face of Pins. He didn't notice at first but when he did he grew instantly red beneath his black coat. When he bumped into her they ended up kissing. He back pedaled, nearly falling down the stairs.
"Oh, um uh, sorry Pins, I didn't see you," Cadaver said, embarrassed.
"Its, ok... I, uh, so hi." Pins said, nervously.
"So, um, I haven't seen you lately. Where have you been?" Cadaver asked still embarrassed not making eye contact.
"I've been around, sorry for not seeing you recently" Pins said nervously while looking at the floor.
"It`s okay, I was just a little worried that's all, and um sorry again," Cadaver said.
"It's ok Cadaver, heh I didn't mind the accident." Pins said with a nervous laugh.
Cadaver looked up at Pins, a little surprised and now feeling more embarrassed.
"So, how have you been?" Cadaver asked trying to change the subject since he was getting uncomfortable.
"I've been ok I guess, they know my new hiding place now.. can you help me find a new one?" Pins asked almost begging.
"Yeah, and you can stay here until we find one if you want," Cadaver replied.
"Is it ok if I go with you? I'm afraid to be alone right now." Pins said worried.
"Yeah sure, but we might have to start looking tomorrow, it`s going to start raining soon," Cadaver said, looking through a window sill at the grey and cloudy sky.
"Ok. Hey Cadaver?"  Pins asked.
"Yeah," Cadaver said, looking at Pins.
"I like you." Pins said looking at Cadaver while smiling.
"I like you too," He said turning a new shade of red, not knowing that she meant it as something more, "And I only have one bed, so you can use it."
"No, go on ahead and sleep in the bed I don't mind the floor or ground, remember I live in the forest" Pins said laughing.
"I know, but I," he stammered, "You should use it."
"Are you sure?" Pins asked.
"Yes, it`s the right thing to do," Cadaver said.
"Ok, if you insist." Pins agreed unwillingly.
"Okay, and uh, make yourself at home, I`ll be right back," Cadaver said as he started out the door into the rain.
"Please get back soon Cadaver…" Pins said quietly while passing out.
"I will," he said softly, smiling a little.
As he left his home he shut the door as quietly as he could, he started off to the other side of the house towards the cellar. Several times he almost slipped because of the slick stone. When he got to the cellar he went in and got two cans of fruit, then started back. When he got back inside he ate one can of fruit then put the other on the table in case Pins woke up. Walking over to where she was sleeping he pulled a blanket over her and said in a low voice.
"Goodnight."
He looked around the room and saw that it didn't matter where he lied down, it was all the same. So he curled up next to the bed on the floor and drifted off to sleep.
