Project: Friendship (Prolouge)

A heavy fog covers the surrounding area like a thick moist blanket, corpses are scattered across the ground. The outcome of a grim battle. In the fog there is a ruined castle, ponies bustling about picking up bodies and clearing rubble. There is a small group of ponies standing in the corner as to not get in the way of the clean up. Those seven ponies stand in silence, beaten and bruised from the fight against the deadites.
"So what`s going to happen now?" A brown pony with a metal leg asks; a tone of sadness in his voice.
"Were going home, and everything will be back to normal," A white pony replies.

As the white mare with a golden mane with deep blue eyes walked up to the basket covered in a blanket she grew all the more curious. She paused in mid step as something under the blanket moved. At that, she quickly walked up to the basket and pulled the blanket off.
"Oh dear oh dear oh dear," she said to herself, not noticing the wings on the baby foal, "Who would such a horrible thing?"

An Accidental FallIt was a cloudy day in the forest and Cadaver was taking a walk to clear his mind from past events. As he was walking he felt a drop of rain hit his nose, so he started to make his way back home. On his way back he was a little sad because he thought he would see his friend Pins, since he hasn't seen her in a while he was a little worried. After walking for a while he came across a fallen tree which meant he was almost home, as he stepped over the tree he looked up to the broken down structure that was his house and saw Pins walk into it. A few years have passed since Cadaver joined the New Lunar Republic and there is now a full scale war between the Solar Empire and the New Lunar Republic. Along the way, Cadaver has witnessed war on the front lines. He has seen ponies die, and he has even killed. On this day he is part of a scouting party, searching ahead to make sure that it is clear for the rest of the forces in that area.

Did you know I fooled you?
I didn't want to,
But you insisted you get close.
And when you got too close,
You saw the evil inside me.
Overflowing with hate,
And Filled with dark intentions.
I can hurt you,
I really can.
But I choose not to.
I don't know why I don't,
Is it because you are different?
No that's not it,
You are like everyone else.
Is it because I like you?
No that isn't it either,
Because I hate you.
It`s because you don't hate me back,
Why is that?
Do you like being betrayed?
Fooled?
Hurt?
No,
It isn't.
It`s because you wanted to see the good inside,
But you won`t find any.
Because i know what i am,
And you don`t.
